The WIN of the Week
For this week’s accomplishment, was creating my fitness website’s onboarding experience through a comprehensive user flow design in Figma. I addressed one of our main issues, which was assisting new customers in making the smooth transition from signing up to making their first fitness plan. I designed a user-friendly navigation system that helps visitors from the moment they arrive until they schedule personal training sessions. With particular emphasis to our member experience, from registration to accessing virtual classes and one-on-one coaching, the flow diagram shows the smooth transition between various areas.
The efficient booking procedure I created is something I’m most pleased of. Members can browse trainer cards, pick between virtual classes and individualized coaching with obvious calls to action, and quickly navigate to the “Our Trainers” section after logging in. For account administration, I also put in place a smart tab structure that lets users quickly navigate between their sessions, subscription information, and account details.
Next week, we’ll start implementing this flow into our actual website!
Key Learning
This week’s biggest learning while developing the fitness website’s user flow is the critical significance of creating a distinct visual hierarchy in flow diagrams. I found that colour coding is a useful technique for comprehending various user pathways in addition to improving the diagram’s aesthetic attractiveness.
The way that this visual arrangement helped me in locating possible spots of difficulty in the user journey was the most enlightening discovery. For example, I saw that it took several clicks from the main menu to access trainer profiles. I simplified the user experience by adding a straight call to action (CTA) to the “Our Trainers” section from the booking page as a result of this realization.
My approach to UX design has completely altered as a result of this experience; it’s now more than just charting the journey; it’s about making the route instantly understandable to all project participants, from developers to clients.
